Colors From the Earth…

Petal-una collection cloth is predominantly produced with naturally-derived colorants – many of them originate from plants – either from their flowers, roots, leaves or bark. Weld (whole plant), Indigo leaves, Logwood bark, Black Walnut hulls, Osage bark, Pomengranate skins and Cochineal (derived from insects), are all part of this rich palette.

Caring for Naturally-dyed cloth:

In most cases, naturally-dyed cloth is stable, i.e., light- and wash-fast. I do recommend that you hand wash your pieces in a neutral soap, and allow them to dry naturally. This ensures longer-lasting cloth and color.
